Gay rights are a Western preoccupation. If anything, this will lend credence to the rumour that there is a concerted Western effort to spread homosexuality in Africa. What's more, our motto is "For God and My Country" and we are not about to change just because some people with very liberal views say so. Call us bigots, homophobes etc. That's a very small price to pay. This changes nothing. Gay rights are a Western preoccupation.
