“I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!” All piffle. A desperate side show. Frivolous motions brought for no other purpose than to vex, harass, and annoy. Eminently worthy of sanctions and attorney’s fees.

There is no drama in a circus –though the Prop H8 clowns hint of tragicomedy. A Gilbert and Sullivan farce. Worthy of contempt and ridicule. They should be laughed out of court. Indeed, sniggering ridicule from peers may well have been the impetus behind the withdrawal on the DOMA defense.

Reputable professionals just can’t make these lame arguments with a straight face any more – no pun intended. Frankly good lawyers would rather represent BP against the Gulf residents than deny fundamental rights in support of Gay Jim Crow laws.

Well, we will know whether Walker (when he was Judge) should have recused himself – passed the Prop 8 motion to another judge.

Walker tries to avoid the well-written motion against him, and he is amazed that he is being called into court – he’s used to calling the shots.

Of course, if he would have had the choice of marrying his guy friend, the CHOICE (as opposed to no choice) would have been a personal interest, whether he would have made the choice or not.

Read the motion – it is spelled out in there, and it is not in everyday person’s jargon, it is in legal jargon, so as to leave no other possible interpretation.

Knock it down as much as you’d like in the Media – it is not the media who is to make the decision, but a qualified Judge which now sits on the “throne” Walker had, and is in good relationship with the same Circuit 9 panel of judges that Walker did NOT have a good relationship with. Walker’s decisions were struck down by higher courts, again and again.

The most vocal people are just more vocal – they must have more time on their hands. But in a court of law, we cannot side with the most vocal people, or those who control the Media, or for whom the Media are most sympathetic to – the law is the law whether you like it or not, and there is also a review process. It just takes a lot of time, so people have time, in the interim, to jump up and down and be vocal, as if that did any good to their cause.

Ginsburg on Roe: Is it a signal she’d curb a decision on marriage?Ginsburg on Roe: Is it a signal she’d curb a decision on marriage?

The LGBT community sees U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg as a likely vote for equal protection in the two pending major cases involving marriage for same-sex couples.

But various mainstream media outlets recently jostled that confidence by noting that she continues to express the view that the landmark abortion rights decision, Roe v. Wade, went “too far too fast.” If the court’s most veteran supporter of equal rights for women believes Roe moved “too far too fast,” could she be urging an incremental approach to another controversial issue – marriage for same-sex couples?
