Curious. In 2005 the UCC synod issued its “Resolution of the United Church of Christ Synod” but it has since been removed from http://www.ucc.org/synod/resolutions/gsrev25-7.pdf and can not be found online.

Moreover all footnote links at wikipedia relating to “In Support of Equal Marriage Rights for All” have also been removed from the UCC web site.

    What’s up with all that?

Resolved. The UCC Marriage Equality page is here http://www.ucc.org/lgbt/issues/marriage-equality/#Marriage_Equality_and_the_UCC

Please notice that the UCC Synod made this resolution way back in 2005 and, while candidate Obama made any mention of it, it certainly refutes Obama’s ketman that the government should not recognize same-sex marriage because “marriage has religious connotations.” See http://ebar.com/common/inc/article_print.php?sec=guest_op&article=73
